Mindful Eating

What is mindful eating

Although what you eat is important, it is often how you eat that is also important. While most articles on nutrition focus on which foods to eat, few discuss our attitude to how we should eat. In a world where food is everywhere and our lives becoming more hectic, so much eating occurs mindlessly. Think of the last time you ate an entire meal in front of your computer or the TV without even thinking about it.

Mindful Eating
Healthier relationship with food

Are you out of touch with your sensation of hunger and fullness?
My approach is to reconnect with your physical cues of being hungry and feeling full. Learning to differentiate between physical hunger and emotional hunger. I help you understand the triggers that have you snacking on food when you are not hungry and help you start eating with intention and mindfulness. This may mean chewing slowly, paying attention to the texture, flavor and aroma of your food so that your brain can catch up with your stomach to tell you that you are full.
